Just to inform you all:  this is NOT a ticketed event and you will not be asked to show a ticket at the door.

We asked people to fill in a online form for to ensure we have enough catering for everyone. 

There will be no confirmation email or ticket – please bare in mind once we are full, we will CLOSE the doors. 

We have reached maximum capacity so please DO NOT attend if you have not registered.

Eid ul-Adha 1444 (Wednesday 28 June 2023) Eid Prayers in the Park, Sutton

It is been officially confirmed that the Grand Eid of Sacrifice 1444AH will inshaa-Allah be on Wednesday 28 June 2023.

Companions of the Mosque will be organising Eid Prayers followed by the usual gathering for the family for the 15th consecutive year. This will be held at Overton Park, Sutton on Wednesday 28 June 2023. from 9am till 2pm.

The Eid takbiraat starts promptly at 10.20am and the salaah will commence at 10.30am sharp.

Please arrive by 9.30am to avoid the traffic rush.

FREE PARKING AVAILABLE – please park responsibly.

This is a picnic event for the entire family:  Please bring a picnic food basket to share with your family, a mat to pray on and a foldable chair to sit on. There will be no chairs available.

Remember, praying Eid out in the open is order by Prophet Muhammad and therefore the Masjid should be shut.

Eid Prayers in the Park 1444 (April 2023)

I am pleased to announce that Companions of the Mosque will be organising Eid Prayer in the park for the family for the 14th year!

Date to be confirmed  – please watch this site on the Thursday 20 April 2023 after 7.30pm for Eid confirmation – Eid will either be Friday 21st April or Saturday 22nd April 2023

Venue: Overton Park, Sutton, SM2 6QT

– Arrive by 9.00am for the salaah at 10:30am sharp

– FREE parking in the park

We will NOT be collection any fitrana, Zakat on this day.

There will be separate areas for the sisters and space behind for prams and pushchairs

As ever don’t forget your prayer mat and a chair if you need one. Also, pack a picnic – anything spicy lamb based will be gratefully received by the MC!

If you got this far in the post – well done and as a gift I am offering free ice cream for all children under 12. Details to claim your refreshing dessert will be announced on the day.

Lastly, this event is entirely free, but we do encourage and welcome ALL donations – cash and ALL major credit cards will be accepted. This will got to the running of this event and towards a masjid centre of our own.

URGENT:: Helpers required for Eid-ul-Fitr in the Park

Just to let you all know we are in the final stages of organising our 14 Eid Prayers in the Park event in Sutton.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes, but there is still a lot to do.

We are looking for at least volunteers that can help on the actual Eid day, i.e. setting up the park at 7:30am, traffic control, helping with food, clearing up after the Eid.
